Book of Shadows, Element of Water, Page 2

The Element of Water for my Illustrated Book of Shadows, brightstone.deviantart.com/gal… This page is a companion page to fav.me/d4867t3 , one of six pages for the element of water. The border was created with a graphite pencil drawing, pen and ink, and then scanned into Photoshop CS 5, and colorized an texturized using a Cintiq 21UX Wacom tablet. The drawings of the merman was made with a full range of graphite pencils, kneaded eraser and smudging stump. The illustration Beneath the Wave off Kokusai by Hokusai comes from the Dover publication 120 of Japanese Prints, a royalty-free resource. The piece measures 16 x 16. The background page is scanned parchment and a photograph of rusted metal.
