The Music Lesson

The ancient Greeks believed that music was in an important part of  healing the body and the spirit. They used music as mental and physical therapy, in this case the second figure from the left is receiving the cure which was one interpretation I found in a large book on the history of medicine. I'm still working on finding the exact name of the painter and timeframe for the above illustration.
